I agree wholeheartedly. This is especially true in the JS world, where people write code as if they were hired to minimize the number of characters they write. The code is not readable and there are no comments, because supposedly “code should explain itself”. Feauture-rich code especially needs proper docs to ensure continuity. There are a number of open source libraries I would happily contribute to, but I just can’t be bothered making sense of tertiaries and weirdly named methods and functions that have 0 comments to explain them.
