My impression is that Medium fell for the Facebook fallacy of attention grabbing infinite scroll of useless shit. Under the pretence of redesign they changed the entire experience of Medium - we went from exploring content to consuming content like we do on every other social media platform. It's tragic. I used to learn on Medium, from peers and random posts I bumped into, now everything seems curated to a point of uselessness. I don't want to see more of the same, suggestion algorithms are nonsense that create post-intellectual bubbles. The time I spend on medium has reduced to bare minimum, just to check if I have notifications as if it were Facebook. Too bad. What started as an innovative thought provoking platform turned into another attention whore of a medium.
